# Blakeney > A development journal for **Blakeney**, a sailing game being rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 on the real Blakeney Harbour, North Norfolk. Blakeney is not a generic sailing game with local scenery added afterwards. The ambition is a little world you can sail through, walk around and recognise: mud, marshes, channels, boats, weather, and the peculiar business of trying to get somewhere when the tide has decided otherwise. It follows an earlier iPhone game, **Blakeney Pit Sailing**, which remains free and available in its own right. This project is different. It is early. There is no big studio and no grand production plan. It is being built on a Mac in North Norfolk. The first important milestone is a boat on the water, moving convincingly through something that already feels like Blakeney. ## Site - [Homepage](https://blakeney.app/): Film of the Unreal prototype and the latest journal note. - [Homepage (Markdown)](https://blakeney.app/index.md): The same brief in Markdown. - [Journal](https://blakeney.app/journal/): Notes from the build. Newest first. - [Full brief](https://blakeney.app/llms-full.txt): Homepage brief plus the full journal. ## Journal - [Blakeney started with a sailing game](https://blakeney.app/journal/started-with-a-sailing-game) (17 September 2026): Why the original iPhone game exists, why this Unreal rebuild is different, and what “done enough to be a game” looks like — a playable boat on the Pit. ## Optional - [Morston](https://morston.app/): Tides, wind and sailing windows for the same coast. A different product.
